The 2020 is over. It has been a difficult year, marked by the news that has changed our lives in the last twelve months, hitting our routine life without knowing today with certainty how much more they will change.
For the Barcelona College of Chiropractic 2020 it has been a major challenge. At the beginning of March, like for millions of people around the world, telecommuting was installed in our daily lives. The college went from a face-to-face model to an online one to continue with the learning and teaching activity. The de-escalation restrictions allowed us to open the interns’ clinic and incorporate those fifth-year students who most needed to complete their clinical requirements. The patients greatly appreciated the openness and appreciated the security measures applied in the clinic environment. In these phases, the collaboration of the teachers and supervisors of interns was essential.
In these months we have strived to offer the best and we have tried to put ourselves in the shoes of all those who were involved until we achieved two essential aspects: graduating to the seventh class and opening the 2020-2021 academic year. Nothing we have done would make sense if it were not useful to the Chiropractic profession.
Until the seventh class, the BCC has enrolled 320 students and has graduated 166 professionals who work around the world. In the year 2021, we continue with the great commitment to graduate to the eighth class and start the 2021-2022 academic year.
No matter what, there has been no better time to keep putting chiropractic in the centre and above, as help instrument to society. We have the whole year ahead, let’s keep inspiring new professionals, let’s keep making chiropractic possible.
