My name is Dr Laryssa Witty and I am a 2023 graduate. Since graduation I have been working as an associate in Dublin, Ireland in two clinics. I adjust a wide range of patients that I confidently manage.
In terms of my routine, I work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in a wellness-based clinic where I run regular health classes. Thursdays and Saturdays I work in a pain-centered, high volume clinic.
The patient pools in each clinic vary considerably and the nature of each clinic demands that I am a versatile chiropractor. BCC equipped me with the skills necessary to succeed in either environment.
Before my first day at the pain-based clinic, my boss said to me, “It will take five years before you feel confident. We are here to support you.” I just smiled; my approach was to let my training speak for itself. Three weeks later, he said to me, “I realize now I went to an inferior school. You do not need our support; you are competent and confident in your work and well prepared.”
I now find my colleagues are referring their patients to me when they have plateaued in the results achieved. The BCC challenges you to think differently and ask the body the right questions to guide your exam and approach to care. The BCC holds a rigorous academic and clinical standard. Apply yourself to a surpass the bar set before you. By doing so you will find you are able to excel in practice from day one.
My transition from graduation to clinical practice was smooth and instantaneous. This was the result of a grueling academic program backed by supportive teachers who knew what it would take to produce a successful chiropractor.
